IMG_5734_1_1     We've had an explosion of culinary activity around our house lately! It began with secretive requests for paper cups and plastic spoons. Before long, I was overhearing excited conversations about "smooth" mud...just like chocolate!...and fuzzy seed pods. Finally an invitation for dinner arrived...

                                                                                 grass soup...

      While I was sitting quietly swinging on the porch swing yesterday, my 7 year old came wandering over bubbling with talk addressed to no one in particular. Suddenly looking intently at me he says, "I would NEVER want to eat a slug!!!" What a conversation starter! With a laugh, we began to discuss the pros and cons of eating slugs...as if there could be such a thing!!  Little boys...such a mixture of inquisitiveness, sweetness, mischief, innocence and a liberal amount of dirt thrown in!!!

The wedding is over, the radiant couple is on their honeymoon, three Life Actioners are back (or almost back) with their teams, decorations and momentoes are tucked away, and the house is slowly returning to it's quiet self...and as I sit here, my heart overflows with the goodness of the Lord! Truly we have been blessed! One of the verses from the hymn our bride and her father walked down the isle to says:

"Praise to the Lord, the Almightly, the King of Creation!

O my soul, praise Him for He is thy health and salvation!

All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;

Join me in glad adoration!"

And it is so true! Praise to the Lord!!
